National Green Jobs Corps
Access Community Group’s National Green Jobs Corps program provides quality, accredited, hands-on training in Conservation and Land Management.
10 positions are available for young people to form a team for 6 months. The team will work together, learning about our local ecosystems and how our lifestyles impact on the environment.
Day-to-day activities will include bush regeneration and permaculture skills in community gardens. There will be some theory sessions, so that participants have the skills required to work in these fields. The theory and hands-on sessions will be structured to allow participants to collect evidence for assessment towards their Certificate II in Conservation and Land management.
Participants will also learn what it is like to work in Bush Regeneration and other emerging green industries.
By the end of the project, participants will have developed specific green skills as well as general work skills. We will work with you to help you move from Green Jobs Corps into further training or work.
